Our focus on innovation was recognised when we named #1 law firm in the Moving the Market Forward category at the Financial Times Asia Pacific Innovative Lawyers Awards 2021.
Opportunities through true collaboration
We’re proud about the way we build international networks to develop broader experience, skills and knowledge. This was brought to life when DLA Piper advised Foot Locker in its acquisition of Atmos, a digitally-led, premium, global retailer headquartered in Japan. We brought together a strong, cross-border team with extensive M&A and retail industry experience to ensure a successful result to this complex deal. Our team included lawyers from our offices in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and the United States.
Action against Climate Change
In 2021 we launched our eMission 2030 campaign, focused on ensuring our people are kept up-to-date with our actions to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. Our target is to halve our emissions by 2030, compared to 2019/20 pre-pandemic levels.
As part of this commitment, we also established a network of eMission 2030 Champions. These champions provide local support for our environmental and climate change efforts, and inspire action in their local offices, including our office in Tokyo.
