When Isaac joined DLA Piper as a graduate, he didn’t know exactly where he’d land. A decade later, with seven roles under his belt and a qualification in hand, he’s found his stride in commercial finance. Finding my direction

What I found being part of such an international, large Finance team, it presented opportunities to take my career in different ways, and I quickly found out that really commercial finance, working with stakeholders around the business was where my interests lay.

My role started 10 years ago.

I joined straight from university into the Management Accounting team in our central finance function. In that time, I've held seven roles.

The support that unlocked my potential

No doubt the biggest challenge that I've faced while being at DLA Piper was working towards my professional accountancy qualification while in the role.

What I found was that DLA Piper not only sponsored me through that process, but my managers and team around me at that time were incredibly supportive.

Ultimately, that really helped unlock my potential and opened my career up to wherever I wanted to take it.
