Graduate opportunities

We offer graduate programmes in all our Australian offices and have one intake each year in February. The programme includes the opportunity to apply for a six-month international secondment in one of DLA Piper’s overseas offices.

Achieving gender equality

We have been awarded the Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation by the Australian government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA). The WGEA citation recognises our commitment to actively encouraging and achieving gender equality in the workplace. The firm has been a WGEA citation holder since the list began in 2014.

Promoting wellbeing

We are a signatory to the Guidelines of the Minds Count Foundation. The Foundation is an independent charity in Australia which supports best practice for mental health and wellbeing in the legal industry.

Supporting our communities

We have committed to new and additional partnerships with indigenous communities through our updated Reconciliation Action Plan. This reflects our inclusive culture and our desire to create opportunities for people to achieve their potential, regardless of their background.

Responsible business

We were named Corporate Citizen Firm of the Year at the 2018 Australasian Law Awards. This was based on the quantity, quality, impact and innovativeness of our sustainability, community, diversity and inclusion, and corporate social responsibility initiatives during 2018.
