The role will be primarily focused on general transactional finance matters (lending, acquisition finance, asset and project finance, real estate finance, funds finance and structured finance) and will also involve restructuring work (insolvency, enforcements and special situations). We understand the commercial, strategic, technical, geographical, and political factors that shape and impact our clients.

Main duties and responsibilities

Working as part of a team, you will enjoy a unique dynamic range of work that will cover our core services including:

  • Assisting clients in a wide scope of banking, leveraged finance and restructuring driven matters.
  • Supporting deal teams and processes from initial discussions through closing.
  • Working on national, cross-border, complex transactions, with the ability to work hand-to-hand with other practices (e.g. corporate, M&A, tax, investment funds and, when needed, litigation teams) and other offices handling matters and acting as a primary point of contact for clients.
  • Contributing to the development and growth of the team and the Firm by taking business and marketing initiatives.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Ideally qualified (or soon to be qualified) in Luxembourg or another EU Member State
  • Ability to demonstrate an excellent academic record, with 0 to 3 years’ relevant experience across a broad range of banking, finance or restructuring law (financial transactions and/or restructuring).
  • Have strong technical and organisational skills, with an international awareness and focus to their work
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English, French and German would be a plus
  • Ability to create and deliver sustainable, high quality client service whilst also considering clients' wider business objectives
  • Be keen to get involved in business development and help drive the Luxembourg practice forward
  • Well organized, proactive, flexible team player and culturally sensible

As a Junior Lawyer within the Finance practice you will be joining our 15 people young and successful team in Luxembourg work closely with experienced practitioners who are committed to supporting your professional development and career progression.
