The Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Manager will lead end‑to‑end recruitment for our Belgium offices, ensuring the attraction, assessment, and hiring of exceptional legal and business services talent. Operating within an international partnership structure, the Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Manager will act as a trusted adviser to Partners, senior leadership, and HR colleagues across jurisdictions.

In addition to core recruitment responsibilities, this role will play a strategic part in strengthening the firm’s employer brand in Belgium, enhancing our visibility in the legal market, and delivering high‑quality internal and external communication initiatives.

Main duties and responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Lead full‑cycle recruitment for fee‑earner and business services roles, from workforce planning to offer management.

  • Advise Partners and senior stakeholders on hiring strategies, candidate profiles, assessment methods, and market trends.
  • Manage all direct sourcing activities, including headhunting, talent mapping, and pipeline development for critical roles.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes with regional and global HR teams to ensure alignment with international standards and best practices.
  • Oversee relationships with external recruitment agencies and negotiate terms where required.
  • Ensure compliance with Belgian labour regulations and internal governance frameworks.

Branding, Marketing & Communication

  • Develop and execute a local employer branding strategy aligned with the firm’s global talent agenda.
  • Lead recruitment‑focused communication initiatives, including social media content, job marketing, university engagement, and event visibility.
  • Partner with the Marketing & Communications team to ensure consistent branding across recruitment materials, website content, and campaigns.
  • Represent the firm at career fairs, legal market events, and professional networking forums.
  • Promote the firm’s culture, values, and career opportunities through compelling storytelling and targeted outreach.
  • Oversee the client events process, with operational support from the dedicated Legal Assistant resource.

Stakeholder & Candidate Experience

  • Build strong advisory relationships with Partners, senior lawyers, and business leaders.
  • Ensure a high‑quality candidate experience at every stage of the hiring process.
  • Coach hiring managers on recruitment excellence, inclusive hiring practices, and employer brand ambassadorship.
  • Support internal mobility initiatives in collaboration with colleagues in Global Mobility and Early Careers.

Data, Reporting & Compliance

  • Track and report recruitment metrics, insights, and market intelligence to senior management.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of recruitment processes and compliance with GDPR and local regulations.
  • Contribute to regional HR projects, policy development, and process optimisation.

About you

  • Significant experience in recruitment within an international or highly professional services environment, preferably in the legal sector.
  • Strong expertise in direct sourcing, interviewing, and managing complex recruitment processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, or communication.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch; French is an asset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of Belgian employment legislation.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness.

You will always meet your direct Line Manager for your role, as well as peers and close collaborators for the position. For some of our roles we may also use assessment tools, practical exercises, and panel presentations.
