Role Purpose

Senior HR Operations Manager of the GSC HR stream ensures the delivery of high-quality and timely support services related to DLA Piper’s HR processes and systems, as well as co-designs goals of the GSC HR team and translates long-term strategy into medium- and short-term plans. This role leads on all day-to-day activities and strategic undertakings related to the GSC HR stream, ensuring all key performance metrics are being met, while leading and focusing the team on its mission and its importance to the organisation. Manages budget of the stream and drives continuous improvement of the processes and services.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Partner with Shared Services Director to define GSC HR goals and translate strategy into actionable plans aligned with business priorities
  • Oversee HR Shared Services delivery, ensuring compliance with standards, service quality, and efficient execution
  • Manage escalations, root cause analysis, and reporting in absence of HR Operations Manager
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and operate effectively in a matrix environment to improve efficiency, quality, and resolve structural issues
  • Co-develop HR service catalogue; lead process transitions, migrations to Shared Services, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive cross-team integration, cost-effective solutions, and adoption of best practices and technology innovations
  • Define, monitor, and review KPIs covering service quality, efficiency, capacity, and compliance
  • Assess and improve processes and systems, leveraging HR tools (e.g., SuccessFactors) to drive simplification and innovation
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, forward thinking, and technology-enabled solutions
  • Ensure strong stakeholder communication and alignment across HR and business functions
  • Lead team engagement and development, including performance management, succession planning, budgeting, and promoting a collaborative, high-performing culture
  • Bring experience in HR Shared Services team management, process migration, and multi-stakeholder environments, with a strategic, solution-oriented mindset

Skills and Experience

  • Fluent English
  • Significant experience in HR role in SSC and/or BPO environment
  • Previous experience in operations management with the ability to demonstrate methods, techniques and tools for planning, organising, resourcing, directing, co-ordinating and monitoring ongoing (non-project) activities
  • Strong interpersonal, people management and leadership skills and ability to work in international diversified professional environment
  • Experience in leading and managing others
  • Team player, able to work cross functionally managing stakeholders at all levels
  • Problem solving, priority setting, planning, delegation, directing others, managing and evaluating work capabilities
  • Strong drive and a consistently positive and collaborative attitude and a ‘can do’ approach while being able to work well on own initiative and as part of a wider team
