Finance Training Specialist

The Finance Training Specialist is responsible for creating, developing, implementing, and delivering training and development activities to finance team members and finance stakeholders (including Partners, Fee Earners and Legal Admin teams).

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Assess training and development needs based on new finance processes, satisfaction surveys, focus groups and ad-hoc communications with finance team members
  • Create, organise, plan and deliver finance onboarding and induction training for new partners and employees
  • Develop and deliver bespoke role-based training programs to support new finance programmes and systems using various forms and formats including group discussion, live demonstration, simulations and knowledge packs
  • Design and develop training content in embedded and blended-learning environments, incorporating appropriate technology into the design and delivery of training (including but not limited to systems such as EnableNow and Success Factors)
  • Create, maintain and communicate training procedure manuals, guides and course materials
  • Work with Global Process Leads and other finance teams to ensure their finance training materials remain up to date and reflect latest processes and procedures
  • Work with other Learning and Development teams within the firm to ensure consistency of training plans and maintain a working knowledge of the latest trends and opportunities in delivering effective training
  • Work closely with the Finance Service Desk to identify training gaps that are causing queries to be logged with the team

About you

  • Experience of building training programmes for finance systems
  • Experience of delivering in a global organisation: training, virtual training, coaching and creating e-learning content
  • Experience of training facilitation
  • Ability to develop training material
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to win confidence and respect of our partners and stakeholders
  • Have the energy and enthusiasm to manage new initiatives, whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Excellent people skills and team working ethos
