We have a unique opportunity to join the International Trade team in Brussels, led by Anna Dias, as part of the wider Litigation & Regulatory Group. You will become part of a motivated team working on high-profile international trade & regulatory cases across a range of sectors.
You will join a fast-paced and engaging environment where you will work on high-profile cases involving anti-dumping, countervailing, safeguard measures, and WTO issues, supporting European clients in challenging unfair practices abroad or defending against trade remedy investigations.
This role offers direct client interaction, exposure to diverse industries, and the chance to develop technical and strategic skills in trade remedies and international economic regulation. Main duties and responsibilities
By joining our International Trade team, you will be supporting to the team to develop and achieve our joint goals.
Candidates will enjoy a uniquely dynamic range of work and responsibility and their task will include:
1) Legal & Case Support
- Assist with drafting submissions, evidence, and legal documents for anti-dumping, countervailing, and safeguard investigations
- Conduct in-depth research on international trade law, regulations, market trends, pricing, and subsidies
- Support case strategy, including risk assessment, positioning, and tactical planning
- Collaborate with internal colleagues and external counsel to ensure seamless case execution
2) Policy Analysis & Advisory
- Prepare trade and policy analysis to inform client strategies, including assessments of tariffs, subsidies, and regulatory developments
- Monitor global trade trends and regulatory updates to provide timely advice to clients
- Support the development of case arguments and strategic recommendations using policy insights
3) Client & Matter Management
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and follow-ups
- Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for clients that clearly communicate findings and recommendations
- Ensure matters progress efficiently, providing a seamless experience for clients
5) Business Development (Prospective Cases)
- Provide support in identifying opportunities to engage new clients and sectors
- Assist in drafting proposals, pitch materials, and client outreach initiatives
- Contribute to initiatives that demonstrate the team’s expertise and support growth in international trade matters
About you
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our International Trade team for a junior association position in our Brussels office. The ideal candidate will combine legal knowledge with practical experience in trade remedies and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
- Qualified to practice law with an excellent academic track record. An additional Masters degree from an English-speaking University is an advantage
- Between 1-3 years’ experience in international trade, and more specifically trade remedies, acquired in a law firm, international organizations (e.g., WTO, European Commission), trade associations or other relevant institutions
- Excellent command of English; proficiency in French is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
- Adaptability and resilience in overcoming obstacles or setbacks
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership over assigned tasks
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
