We are seeking a dynamic junior legal professional to join our Beijing IPT team, with a focus on trademark matters. You will work on a broad range of complex issues, supporting global enterprises as they protect and expand their technologies, brands, products, data, and services worldwide. Main duties and responsibilities

Candidates who have between 1 to 2 years’ experiences are expected to have the right level of knowledge and have gained the right level of experience needed to be able to undertake this role. You will:

  • Deliver exceptional results on a wide range of non-contentious and contentious trademark matters
  • Support domestic and overseas trademark matters, including prosecution (such as filing, opposition, refusal, and cancellation), as well as strategic advisory and administrative litigation, working closely with the team
  • Assist with domestic and overseas IP infringement matters, including enforcement actions and coordination with relevant parties
  • Gain exposure to all areas of intellectual property law
  • Draft and review legal documents in both English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Provide support Partners and senior lawyers on other ad hoc requests and assist with general legal administrative tasks

About you

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented legal professional who is passionate about IP law and eager to grow in a global firm.

You have:

  • 1–2 years of experience in trademark-related work (more experienced candidates may be considered for Associate-level)
  • Solid understanding of trademark prosecution and enforcement that includes filing, opposition, refusal, and cancellation
  • Strong drafting and and writing skills, with experience in preparing and maintaining records, files, and reports
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • A proactive and detail-oriented mindset and equipped with a can-do attitude and professional demeanour
  • A collaborative mindset and a client-first attitude
  • Prior experience in an international law firm is preferred
  • Exposure to broader areas of intellectual property law is a plus
