DLA Piper has a new opportunity for a Responsible Business Project Coordinator to join our dynamic international team, based in Sydney or Melbourne. As part of the Responsible Business Hub, you will help support DLA Piper’s global efforts to operate ethically and sustainably. You will coordinate projects, manage events, support pro bono operations, and collaborate with stakeholders across Asia-Pacific and globally.

Primarily supporting the Asia-Pacific team while collaborating closely with the wider international Responsible Business Hub, you will provide support on a range of initiatives including our Global Scholarship Program and New Perimeter, which promote access to legal education and justice, pro bono legal services for individuals and organisations in need, our strategic partnership with UNHCR to support displaced communities and our internal sustainability efforts, such as reducing carbon emissions and promoting health and well-being within the firm.

What you will be doing

  • Handling matter openings, conflict checks, Anti Money Laundering processes, and engagement letters
  • Supporting pro bono partners with calendar schedules, travel, expenses, and secondments
  • Organising events and managing logistics
  • Collecting and reporting pro bono data
  • Preparing internal/external communications and presentations
  • Coordinating projects with charity partners and legal centres

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years’ experience in a secretarial or project coordination role (professional services preferred)
  • Strong initiative, independence, and teamwork
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Passion for social justice and sustainability
