Main purpose of job

The Finance Senior Accountant/Analyst manages daily operations for dedicated clients and processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. They oversee team training, process quality, and lead improvements. The role also involves supporting complex queries and ensuring smooth workflow. Expertise in accounting processes, software tools (Excel, SAP, ServiceNow), and strong communication skills are essential.

Main duties and responsibilities

Team training and development

  • Organizing and conducting training for the team

  • Ensuring that each team member is up to date with current processes/technologies/regulations, as well as at an equal level of knowledge

  • Sharing process/technical knowledge – The senior should have the broadest process knowledge (SME is more dedicated to projects).

  • Participating in senior group (e.g. on Teams) to exchange the knowledge

Process analysis & Quality Assurance

  • Conducting and organizing Problem Solving Sessions

  • Analyzing processes in terms of correctness and quality

  • Preparing reports

  • Initiating process improvements – remember: this should be for all team members

  • Controlling the quality of processes on a daily basis

  • Managing the Daily/Weekly/Monthly Quality Check process

  • Controlling the compliance of processes with Compliance and SLA

  • Quality control of DTP's

  • Participating in operational/technical calls

Processing

  • Testing new solutions/systems/technologies; backup and cooperation with SME in terms of implementing improvements in SNOW

  • Processing and resolving demanding cases and queries as first point of contact, 2nd SME

  • Supporting the team in operational work requiring advanced knowledge and most complex matters as first point of contact, 2nd SME

  • Advising the Team in decision-making

  • Supporting SME and coordinator if needed

  • Contact with other teams in case of cross team cases – remember: this should be for all team members

Supporting TL in case of absence/lack of coordinator

About you

  • Work experience in Finance with understanding of GL processes

  • Relevant, in depth expertise in a specific process area

  • University Degree preferably in accounting or relevant courses

  • Proficiency with relevant software, systems and tools (Excel, SAP, ServiceNow etc.)

  • Attention to detail

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge sharing skills

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment

  • Very good self-organization and target orientation skills

  • Customer and teamwork focus and capability
