The Cash Management Subject Matter Expert possesses a deep process knowledge to provide expert advice, support complex requests, and drive innovation through process improvements and various process related project participation. SMEs guide coworkers, assist with escalations, propose system enhancements, maintain accurate process documentation, and support process definition in collaboration with Global Process Leads.

Main duties and responsibilities

Supporting the delivery of key Cash Management projects and initiatives from design to implementation ensuring best practice approach, process efficiency and ongoing process review/improvement.

Providing trainings related to Cash Management Process for the team members as well as to the business

Provide Expert Guidance: Offer expert advice and support to coworkers and the business in their specific process areas.

Advise on Complex Requests: Support operational teams by advising on complex or difficult requests, ensuring compliance.

Process Project Leadership/Participation: Lead or participate in projects relevant to the process area, contributing specialized knowledge and expertise.

Assist with Escalations: Support managers and team leaders in process-related escalations, providing expertise.

Drive Process Improvements: Lead initiatives to improve processes within the organization, collaborating with Global Process Leads.

Propose System Enhancements: Suggest enhancements for tools like ServiceNow, SNAP etc. to improve functionality and efficiency and participate in new solution testing phases.

Maintain Process Documentation: Review and maintain accurate process documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and comprehensive.

Collaborate Across Functions: Work with other departments and finance streams to ensure integrated and effective processes.

Audit Participation: Support a team leader in cooperation with internal and external auditors to provide necessary information as well as implementation of post audit recommendations.

Ensure Compliance: Ensure all relevant company standards and guidelines are met in process execution.

Provide Process Education: Develop and deliver training sessions to team members and business stakeholders to ensure understanding and adherence to best practices.

Execute Superior's Instructions: Perform any additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Line Manager or other superiors, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of the organization.

About you

Relevant, in depth expertise in a Cash Management process area

University Degree preferably in accounting or relevant courses

Proficiency with relevant software, systems and tools (Excel, SAP, ServiceNow etc.)

Attention to detail

Analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Knowledge sharing skills

Ability to work in a multicultural environment

Very good self-organization and target orientation skills

The department / practice group

The SME role is central to any process-related changes and improvements. Each Finance process has a dedicated SME who reports to the Finance Manager, ensuring effective oversight and strategic guidance.
