The role

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing/business development intern to join our firm. As an intern, you will work in our Marketing & Business Development (MBD) team on all stages of the firm's local and global marketing campaigns and projects. Versatile and comfortable in a demanding international environment, your contribution will help develop, expand and maintain DLA Piper’s visibility, mission and values.

This internship will help you acquiring a wide range of marketing skills and knowledge of various legal marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain extensive experience in marketing, communications and business development and be ready to enter any fast-paced work environment.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

If you are energised by challenges, passionate about problem solving and motivated to be part of a small team of approachable and energetic people, you are probably the ideal intern to support us on:  

Communications

  • Assisting in the preparation of communication materials (social media posts, articles, brochures, slide decks, client alerts, webcasts, podcasts...) and promotional activities related to the firm's life, values and missions, as well as the practice groups and industry sectors in which DLA Piper Luxembourg is active
  • Maintaining press monitoring, web, and social media statistics
  • Coordinating with the external and internal service providers

Events and training

  • Supporting the organisation and follow-up of external and internal events (virtual, hybrid and in person events of all types and sizes)
  • Training new joiners on social media and marketing tools
  • Coordinating the sponsorship of events and the registration to events

Database Management 

  • Maintaining and updating deal information and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Updating CVs and biographies of lawyers
  • Coordinating sponsorships and memberships

Business Development

  • Assisting in the preparation of pitching documents, presentations and capability statements
  • Assisting in the preparation of submissions to international rankings and awards
  • Maintaining and updating statistics and reports

Administrative 

  • Handling any other duties and administrative tasks needed by the team

INTERNSHIP DURATION

  • 6 months minimum - part-time and alternating courses are possible 
  • Starting date: As soon as possible

ABOUT YOU

  • Current enrolment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Ability to learn fast and strong professional drive
  • Passion for the marketing sector and its best practices
  • Fluent in French and English with excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Computer literate, familiar with marketing applications and social networks (mainly LinkedIn)
  • Team-player, well-organised and reliable 
  • Attention to details and confidentiality
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced, fast-moving environment
