At DLA Piper, our progressive mindset challenges conventions and evolves our global legal offering into broader advisory services and new business areas. Through our deep industry knowledge, technological solutions, and diversity of thought and experience, clients embrace change and seize opportunities.

Our ten sector groups cover the full range of business law services. Clients include multinationals, start-ups, public sector bodies and governments.

Our entrepreneurial and supportive culture promotes bold, ambitious thinking and a warm, empathetic approach. Trusting, collaborative relationships with clients and each other is at the heart of everything we do.

OUR OPPORTUNITIES

We provide cutting-edge learning and development programmes, and an opportunity to work alongside some of the best legal minds around.

We are offering internship opportunities in our Hong Kong office.

As an intern, you can expect a varied experience both in and outside the office. You will work in a creative, dynamic environment with some of the best legal professionals in the world, gaining first-hand experience doing real legal work. You will have the opportunity to undertake work experience placements in two of the firm's practice groups.

The internship is four weeks in duration, with an induction programme that will give you the opportunity to hear from the firm's senior leaders, to participate in professional skills training, to attend networking events and to participate in responsible business activities. The internship also has practice group insight sessions and thought leadership seminars.

All 2023 Interns will automatically be assessed for a 2025 graduate position (training contract).

Joining us as an intern is your best pathway to a graduate position with DLA Piper. Apply now and be part of our future.

Application closing date: 17:00 (HKT), Friday 30 December 2022

You should apply for an internship in the office you intend to start your career as a graduate.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

At DLA Piper, diversity and inclusion underpins how we live our values and everything we do.  We believe that everyone has a voice, and that everyone’s voice counts. We know that the rich diversity across our firm makes us stronger, more innovative and creative, which helps us to better serve our clients and communities. We are committed to providing an inclusive working environment and culture across our global firm, where everyone can bring their authentic self to work.

Diversity of perspective, thought, background and culture combine to make us the leading global law firm; that’s why we actively seek to build balanced teams. We welcome the unique contribution that you will bring to our firm and actively encourage applications from all talented people – however your talent is packaged, whatever your background or circumstance and regardless of how you identify.

We support anyone with a disability or long term health condition to ensure they have the opportunity to perform at their best. If you have not done so already, please let us know if you require any support so we can make the right adjustments and considerations should they be required.

AGILE WORKING

We know that people have responsibilities and interests outside of their career and that as a business, we all benefit from working flexibly.  That's why we are open to discussing with candidates the different ways in which we are able to support requests for agile working arrangements.

PRE-ENGAGEMENT SCREENING

In the event that we make an offer to you, and where local legislation permits, we will conduct pre-engagement screening checks that may include but are not limited to your professional and academic qualifications, your eligibility to work in the relevant jurisdiction, any criminal records, your financial stability and references from previous employers.
