The Marketing & Business Development team has a leading role in profiling our firm in the corporate legal services market. The Marketing and Events Advisor  is part of DLA Piper’s Marketing & Business Development team and reports to the Head of Marketing & Business Development


As a Marketing and Events Advisor you will work alongside our colleagues in Amsterdam on the positioning of our brand and messaging to our clients and other target groups. You will take ownership for the execution and quality of our client events, and aspects of our marketing strategy. In this role you are also actively involved in key projects and campaigns aligned with our firm’s strategy, including but not limited to: the relocation of our office, social media campaigns, positioning papers and topics like ESG and D&I. 


  • Preferably a higher educational/ bachelor level of thinking
  • Professional experience: a minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, events and/ or communications in an organisation which is complex and/ or international
  • A self-starter who is hands on, flexible and able to work within tight deadlines
  • Proactive and able to identify opportunities and follow up on initiatives
  • Self-sufficient in prioritizing, organizing your own workload and planning ahead
  • Affinity with business-to-business and purpose driven culture
  • Good communications and writing skills
  • Confident and approachable communications style with positive, can-do attitude to solving issues, seeing opportunities, and offer solutions and
  • Eye for detail, pragmatic, creative and good analytical skills
