This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cyber security professional to join a global Security Operations team in a senior, hands-on role. Reporting to the Head of Security Operations, you will lead the detection, investigation and response to cyber security incidents while helping enhance security operations capabilities across the business.

Working with leading security technologies and AI-enabled tools, you will play a key role in strengthening security monitoring, incident response, operational resilience, and the development of team capability.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in threat detection, incident response, and security operations
  • Lead investigations and response activities for security incidents
  • Regional SME Partnering with IT teams and Security Architecture to improve security controls and response processes
  • Develop operational reporting, metrics, and dashboards
  • Maintain and enhance security processes, procedures, and documentation
  • Design and optimise monitoring use cases and detection capabilities
  • Identify and implement improvements to security tools and workflows
  • Support the adoption of AI and automation within security operations
  • Contribute to playbook development and operational efficiency using generative AI
  • Ensure incident response capabilities are regularly tested and improved
  • Mentor and support the development of Security Analysts
  • Assist in Exposure Management findings validation
  • Act as a delegate for Security Operations leadership when required

About you

You are an experienced cyber security professional with a strong background in Security Operations, Incident Response or a Tier 2/Tier 3 SOC environment. You combine technical expertise with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. You will bring:

  • Experience in Security Operations and cyber incident response
  • Exposure to complex or global environments
  • Strong knowledge of security controls, technologies, and frameworks
  • Leadership or mentoring experience
  • Customer focused with a passion for cyber security
  • Expertise across EDR, SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, email security, web security, and monitoring tools
  • Experience with AI-enabled security technologies, including SOAR, UEBA and XDR platforms
  • Experience developing automated response workflows and playbooks
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security, SaaS environments and cloud technologies
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC or equivalent
