The role will be focused on Luxembourg and EU cross-border regulatory work in financial services. This includes working for banks, investment firms and asset managers, payment service providers and crypt and fintech players. We understand the commercial, strategic, technical, geographical, and political factors that shape and impact our clients. Main duties and responsibilities

Working as part of a team, you will enjoy a uniquely dynamic range of work that will cover our core services including:

  • Assisting clients in a wide scope of Financial Services Regulatory matters, ranging from license applications to restructuring business units as a result of regulatory change
  • Advising on the interpretation of Luxembourg and EU rules and the impact on our clients’ operations
  • Working alongside our clients’ internal teams to navigate and help them implement regulatory change
  • Working on cross-border, complex transactions, with the ability to work hand-to-hand with other practices (e.g. corporate, tax, IPT and funds work) and other offices handling matters and acting as a primary point of contact for clients
  • Contributing to the development and growth of the team and the Firm by taking business and marketing initiatives

About you

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in law and possibly an additional degree abroad
  • 2 to 4 years’ relevant experience in many aspects of financial regulation, finance or banking
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French
  • International awareness and focus to their work
  • Ability to create and deliver sustainable, high quality client service whilst also considering clients' wider business objectives
  • Keen to get involved in business development and help drive the Luxembourg practice forward
  • Well organized, proactive, flexible team player and culturally sensible
  • Able to handle files independently – although you will always receive guidance and be part of a team
