Finance Operations Senior Team Leader leads the P2P team in GSC supporting multiple business units and locations, actively supports development of the GSC in area of P2P, is responsible for meeting Service Level Agreements and Customer expectations, improves operational effectiveness and efficiency of the team’s performance, resolves problems and develops the team.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Lead the team performance on daily basis. Supervise and motivate the team to deliver an exceptional service, managing team's and individual workload
- Manage escalation process and root cause analysis and remediation actions
- Ensure all relevant company standards and guidelines are met in process execution
- Help with the planning and delivery of process transitions, continuous improvement actions and other projects within entrusted processes area
- Facilitate integration with other functional areas including seeking opportunities for cross-team cost-effective solutions
- Report and manage metrics to assess performance of the team, provided services and efficiency of the process relative to Service Level Agreements
- Identify and implement improvements in process and work organisation including active participation in technology implementations
- Help prepare regular service performance reviews, covering aspects of current performance (timelines, accuracy, volume, etc), demand/supply including relevant capability & capacity gaps, technology advancements, service complaints and efficiency
- Provide understanding of the customer needs related to the process and other DLA Piper teams on identifying business requirements for new solutions and services
- Take on leader's responsibilities: drive employee engagement across the team, ensure the team is capable, facilitate training opportunities and leverage training resources, recruit new members and ensure their integration in the team, measure and evaluate individual and team performance, manage employee issues (with HR consultation) provide feedback, encourage open communication and build an environment and culture of support, collaboration, equality and trust
About you
- A minimum of five years’ experience working in shared services centre in Finance environment
- Experience of managing a team
- Thorough understanding of relevant Finance processes
- University degree, preferably in finance, or other business discipline
- Good knowledge of Office 365 tools and advanced knowledge of SuccessFactors and ServiceNow
- Strong written and verbal English skills to ensure clear communication in a global work environment
- Capable to communicate clearly with team members, clients and senior stakeholders, and ability to work in international diversified professional environment
- Excellent skills in managing team operational work including problem solving, priority setting, planning, delegation, managing and evaluating work capabilities, with focus both on providing accurate and timely service to internal and external customers, and on supporting the team. Self-starter
