The Junior Business Development Specialist supports the Business Development team in delivering strategic business development initiatives for the Warsaw office. The role focuses on business development support, legal directories and rankings, market and client intelligence, process improvement, data management and the effective use of technology.

The position is designed for a proactive professional who can analyse information, identify opportunities, support lawyers in business development activities and contribute to improving the effectiveness of BD processes through data-driven insights and technology-enabled solutions.

Main duties and responsibilities

Business Development & Pitch Support

  • Support the preparation of pitches, proposals, presentations and other client-facing business development materials
  • Gather, analyse and structure information from lawyers, practice groups and internal systems to support business development initiatives
  • Assist with tracking business opportunities and supporting reporting on BD activity
  • Contribute to enhancing business development processes, templates and knowledge resources

Directories, Rankings & Awards

  • Support the preparation and coordination of legal directory submissions, including Chambers, Legal 500 and other international rankings
  • Collect, organise and review matter information, credentials and client references
  • Maintain submission trackers and support effective management of deadlines and reporting
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of directory, rankings and awards processes

Client, Market & Sector Intelligence

  • Conduct client, market, sector and competitor research to support practice and client development initiatives
  • Support lawyers and BD teams with data-driven insights for pitches, client meetings and strategic initiatives
  • Assist in monitoring market developments and identifying opportunities to strengthen the firm's market position

Client Development, Events & Communications Support

  • Support client development initiatives and relationship-building activities across practices and sectors
  • Assist in planning and evaluating events, campaigns and client engagement initiatives from a business development perspective
  • Contribute to communications and visibility initiatives where they support business development objectives and client engagement

Data, Systems & Process Improvement

  • Manage and enhance business development data, credentials and CRM information to support strategic decision-making
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and identify opportunities to improve reporting and information management processes
  • Prepare reports, analyses and presentations supporting business planning and client development initiatives
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes through technology and automation

Technology & Innovation

  • Utilise digital and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and enhance the effectiveness of business development activities
  • Support the adoption of new technologies and identify opportunities to improve existing ways of working
  • Recommend practical solutions that improve workflows, knowledge management, and operational efficiency

About you

Education and Experience

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Management, Law, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience, preferably in business development, professional services, research, client service, marketing, or a related business support environment
  • Experience in working with data, research, reporting or project support activities will be an advantage
  • Excellent command of Polish and English

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
