DLA Piper's Australian Investment Management & Funds (IM&F) practice is growing. We are looking for a talented and collegiate lawyer with demonstrated funds experience to join us as a Senior Associate in Sydney or Brisbane.

Your role will involve working closely with the team on a diverse range of transactional and advisory work, both locally and internationally. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the strategic development and growth of the IM&F practice and business development planning, with the support of a talented group of lawyers.

You will work closely with each of the 3 senior Partners in the IM&F Australian team and be part of one of the largest investment management and funds practices in the world, with dedicated lawyers working across key global jurisdictions. Main duties and responsibilities

  • Work across a range of funds formation and transactional work, including cross border investments
  • Transaction support on deals focussing on real assets sectors including PE, energy/renewables, debt, real estate and infrastructure
  • Provide high quality advice to a broad range of blue-chip global and domestic asset management clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor junior lawyers in the team
  • Assist with business development and the strategic development of the practice.

About you

  • 4+ years PQE with experience within funds at a leading firm
  • Excellent analytical, technical and drafting skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Outstanding academics
