With approximately 200 real estate lawyers in the US and over 500 globally, DLA Piper's market-leading real estate group offers a full range of real estate services, including single asset and portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, single asset and multi-property/programmatic joint ventures, fund formation, operating company investments, cross-border investments, REIF and Sicaf structures, financing, construction and design, leasing, zoning/land-use, environmental law, real estate litigation and tax.

Role Purpose

We are currently recruiting a bright lawyer to join our Real Estate Investment team within our market leading Real Estate group in Milan.

If you’re an ambitious Lawyer with a solid experience in real estate, excellent command of verbal and written English (any other main foreign language would also be a real asset), bring your ambition, initiative and entrepreneurial mindset to a global business that’s redefining the possible. You’ll manage and advise national and international investors and developers in all aspects of real estate law and you will work closely together with colleagues from the funds, finance and tax teams, assisting clients in identifying and implementing the most suitable structure for the realisation of real estate investments.

Main duties and responsibilities

You will be working as part of our market leading real estate team and will undertake a broad variety of work that will cover our core real estate services:

  • Acquisitions, developments, disposals, as well as lease, construction and property management mandates;
  • Advising corporate clients and investment companies in the purchase, sale and lease of commercial real estate;
  • Collaborating with colleagues from funds, finance, and tax to provide a 360 degree advice on all aspects of real estate investments.

About you

  • Solid background in real estate and basic understanding of corporate matters;

  • Graduated with excellent academic marks, and admitted to the Italian Bar;
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills in both Italian and English;
  • Service minded, organized and able to meet deadlines;
  • Positive mentality with a "can do" attitude;
  • Demonstrate a desire to achieve excellence;
  • Open to changing environment which requires daily learning.

Our hiring approach

Our hiring approach enables us to learn about the professional and person you are, and gives you the opportunity to learn about us. Your recruitment experience can differ depending on the type of role you are interviewing for. You will always meet your direct Line Manager for your role, as well as peers and close collaborators for the position. For some of our roles we may also use assessment tools, practical exercises, and panel presentations.
