Role Purpose
We are currently recruiting for associates to join DLA Piper's market leading global Real Estate team to be based in Dublin.
We advise a wide range of clients investing in, developing, managing, occupying and funding real estate assets.
Our full-service Irish Real Estate offering is fully integrated with DLA Piper’s market leading global Real Estate sector platform and supports domestic and international clients on all types of projects and transactions across all major real asset classes, including logistics, PRS, retail, offices, hotels and leisure, student accommodation, healthcare, infrastructure and energy.
Successful candidates will join a global team of over 600 specialist real estate lawyers who assist clients throughout the entire life cycle of their investments.
Main duties and responsibilities
Working as part of our market leading global team, the successful candidate will enjoy a broad range of work that will cover our core services including:
- Acquisitions and Disposals;
- Leasing;
- Real Estate Finance;
- Development;
- Construction;
- Planning;
- Environmental; and
- Energy / Renewables.
Successful candidates can expect to advise sophisticated clients on complex, long-term projects that involve drafting documentation, facilitating negotiations, navigating legal and regulatory issues, distilling complex issues, best in class standard diligence / reporting and acting as a as a primary point of client contact.

About you
We do not set upper or lower limits of PQE for any of our vacancies. We have however given an indicative PQE as an approximate guide for applicants. Candidates who have between 2 and 4 years' PQE are likely to have the right level of knowledge and have gained the right level of experience needed to be able to undertake this role.
The ideal candidate will:

have strong Real Estate experience gained in a leading Irish or international firm;
- be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical issues that are key to our clients;
- draft documents using a commercial, client-focussed style;
- comply with professional standards and all relevant regulatory obligations;
- build and develop own network of internal and external contacts;
- be commercially astute and stays current on key legal and business news;
- have excellent skills in communication, client relations, and team-working;
- be aware of business development initiatives in the department and identifies ways to contribute;
- maintain a controlled, objective and flexible approach under pressure;
- be proactive and innovative;
- have strong technical and social media skills;
- comply with the firm's systems, policies and procedures in all matters - including compliance, financial
- systems and time recording; and
- know and understand how to best utilise information and research resource.
