Role Purpose

We are looking for an Associate to join our IPT & Employment team in Casablanca, Morocco. You will enjoy a broad diet of IPT and Employment work, working as part of a multi-jurisdictional team.

Main duties and responsibilities

Working as part of our market leading global team, you will enjoy a broad diet of work that will generally cover all our core services with a focus on:

  • IT, e-commerce and commercial projects
  • IP advisory and strategic due diligence
  • Advisory work in respect of technology innovation projects
  • Data protection and privacy matters
  • Cyber security and risk management projects
  • Employment-related advisory
  • General advisory on regulatory issues

About you

We do not set upper or lower limits of PQE for any of our vacancies. We have however given an indicative PQE as an approximate guide for applicants. Candidates who have between 1 - 3 years PQE, are likely to have the right level of knowledge and have gained the right level of experience needed to be able to undertake this role.

You will:

  • Be a qualified lawyer fluent in English, French and Arabic and;
  • Have experience at an international law firm or a Moroccan law firm with international exposure
  • Possess strong knowledge of contract and labor law, as well as IPT and data privacy regulations
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical legal issues relevant to our clients
  • Have experience drafting legal documents with a commercial and client-focused approach
  • Exhibit strong commercial awareness and a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Identify and capitalize on business opportunities, including repeat client engagements
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of internal and external contacts
  • Adhere to professional standards and comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Our hiring approach enables us to learn about the professional and person you are, and gives you the opportunity to learn about us.
