Working as part of the wider HR Function, the Early Careers Industrial Placement student is a key member of the DLA Piper International Early Careers Team. The team is responsible for all recruitment and development of new early careers joiners to the firm. You will work alongside Early Careers Recruitment and Development specialists providing support, whilst gaining experience /exposure to this key HR function. The team will support you to learn and develop throughout your industrial placement.
Within your role, you will engage with key international stakeholders across the business. You will learn about how an international law firm operates, and the early careers routes into the legal profession. You will learn about all cyclical activity across the recruitment and development lifecycle and develop an understanding of the impact this has on the business.
You will be supported in the first few weeks of your role by the current Placement Student, where a detailed handover will take place, and you will be given training to enable you to perform successfully in your role. You will learn how to navigate Recruitment and HR System software’s.

The successful candidate will be in their penultimate year of an undergraduate degree, eligible to work full-time in the UK for the duration of the placement, and be able to demonstrate the following strengths:
