The role
This is a 6 month FTC
Role Purpose:
- Deliver DLA Piper’s Technology Curriculum with primary focus on our Legal Technology programs
- Deliver core training when new starters join the firm
- Be responsible for educating across multiple regions throughout the International firm

- Legal IT Learning Specialist peer group
- Legal IT Digital Learning Developer
- Project and Operational Change teams, including Legal IT Learning key stakeholders
- Service and Operations colleagues
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver training programs across the international business to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify learning needs and design appropriate learning solutions.
- Deliver training programs to all DLA Piper employees, ensuring that they are engaging, interactive, and meet the learning objectives.
- Provide learning solutions to external clients, tailoring programs to their specific needs and requirements.
- Work closely with the IT department to ensure that training materials and resources are accessible and up to date.
- Continuously review and refine the curriculum for the technology or module you own, ensuring that it remains relevant and effective.
- Act as a consultant on projects, providing expertise and guidance to stakeholders as needed, but not being the primary responsible party unless agreed upon.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating them into learning programs as appropriate.
ABOUT YOU
- Business and IT literate
- Law firm or professional services environment. Blue chip organisation beneficial
- Recognised professional qualification (or is in the process of gaining a qualification)
- Engagement with individuals at the highest level, internal and external
- High level of IT literacy for the Microsoft Office suite and M365 platform
- Working understanding of the Power Platform
- Knowledge of bespoke legal applications eg DMS / Time recording / CRM beneficial
- Internal customer relationship management
- Experience in learning and performance, through all stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation
- Experience with using an eLearning platform and creating eLearning resources
- Communication, including concise written and oral
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proactive
- Self-managing, efficient and timely
- Able to establish priorities to meet goals
- Flexibility and organisation in order to manage Legal IT Learning Specialist role with team development
- Ability to meet any business requirements, including those outside of the standard role
- Customer / Client focused
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Influencing and negotiation – Effectively enlists support from others
