As part of our Singapore team, you will have the widest platform and a supportive environment to progress your career across Funds Finance, Project, Restructuring and etc. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic UK-qualified Associate to join us, you will be working across a broad range of complex transactions. This is your opportunity to support the world’s leading enterprises, emerging start-up companies and financial institutions in their development and investment activities.   

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will deliver exceptional results to clients on a broad range of complex transactions 
  • Undertaking due diligence of fund documentation
  • Drafting and negotiating facilities agreements
  • Drafting and negotiating security documents
  • Overseeing financing closings
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsels and other transactional legal teams 
  • Assisting clients with ongoing deal administration 
  • Providing direct assistance to senior lawyers on matters arising in the course of day-to-day matters and overseeing junior lawyers in the team

ABOUT YOU

We do not set upper or lower limits of PQE for any of our vacancies. We have however given an indicative PQE as an approximate guide for applicants. Candidates who have between 3 to 5 years’ PQE on the UK scale are likely to have the right level of knowledge and have gained the right level of experience needed to be able to undertake this role. 

  • England and Wales qualification 
  • Strong experience in multi-jurisdictional banking and finance transactions   
  • Experience in the Asian Markets and working across different jurisdictions and / or with other emerging markets 
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Any other Asian language is a plus. 
  • A highly initiative and innovative team player with strong client management and relationship skills 
  • Commercially astute and stays current on key legal and business news 
  • Provides a professional, quality service in a timely manner, and responds effectively to requests from internal and external clients
  • Builds and develops own network of internal and external contacts
  • Awareness of business development initiatives in the department and identifies ways to contribute
  • Maintains a controlled, objective and flexible approach under pressure.
