We are looking for a Credit Coordinator to join our Sydney office for a 12 month fixed-term contract. The Credit Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the cash inflow targets for the firm are met as well as the timely production of statements, reminder letters and payor reconciliations. The role will also be responsible for providing statistical information to the Collections National Credit Manager.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve monthly budgeted collections targets
  • Complete set monthly reporting to the Collections Supervisor
  • Internal and external relationship building with suppliers
  • Using the collections module in SNAP to record all contact with clients
  • Ensure statements and letters are produced regularly and attend to all queries and issues
  • Identify and report on bad and doubtful debts
  • Develop external Agency relationship
  • Perform client credit checks and identity risks  
  • Monthly reporting to the Collections Supervisor 
  • Adhere and advocate the firms International Credit Policy
  • Assist with finance team projects and tasks when requested

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this position you will have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role from a professional services environment
  • Strong computer skills and experience in using MS Office tools (in particular Word, Excel, Outlook; PowerPoint) 
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence 
  • A certification in Credit Management or an equivalent
  • Self-starting and confident with a high tolerance for ambiguity and a ‘can do’ approach 
  • The ability to work under pressure at times
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Self-organisation skills and possess good time management
