The Knowledge team is a small group of experienced IPT lawyers based in the UK, Europe and Australia responsible for the development and management of legal content and training, for our clients and our lawyers.

This opportunity would suit a recent graduate who is looking for a career in intellectual property or technology law who is passionate about assisting lawyers to provide best in class services to clients, helping to achieve our firm’s vision; to be the leading global business law firm. It’s a very varied role, working with a supportive team and a good introduction to the law in this area.

The successful role holder will be responsible for assisting the Head of Knowledge and the Knowledge team to support the IPT practice in a number of different areas including horizon scanning/trend spotting, the production of client content, tools and products, organising legal training sessions and participating in various innovative IPT, business development and sector driven projects in line with the IPT group’s strategy.  

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The ideal candidate will have experience working effectively with people at all levels.

You will enjoy a broad diet of work with an international focus including, but not limited to, assisting with: 

  • Monitoring of legal developments and horizon scanning including in new and developing technical areas such as AI
  • The production of content for clients including newsletters
  • The development of new IPT tools for clients
  • Basic research and day to day fee earner enquiries
  • Sector enquiries particularly in the Tech, Life Sciences, MSE and CGFR sectors
  • Development of content for and organisation of contributions to thought leadership articles, multi-jurisdictional guides and campaigns
  • The delivery of training; and 
  • The collection, redaction and profiling of documents for the Knowledge Hub

ABOUT YOU

  • Law or non-law degree
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and have a problem solving approach
  • Computer literate
