The role

The Interim Finance Subject Matter Expert – Cash Management will work closely with the GSC Cash Management and Finance Service Delivery teams and the business to support the delivery of the key Cash Management projects. 

The role will be a key stakeholder in the design, delivery and ongoing improvement of the ticketing/workflow platform (ServiceNow) and the unified payments platform and transactional messaging platform (AcessPay) for Cash Management, along with other projects which support process improvements within Cash Management/Finance functions. The role will also will be supporting GSC Cash Management Team as well as business in terms development of their process knowledge. That may include delivering trainings to Cash Management Team as well as business.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Interim Finance Subject Matter Expert – Cash Management  will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of key Cash Management projects and initiatives from design to implementation ensuring best practice approach, process efficiency and ongoing process review/improvement
  • Supporting the Service Delivery and GSC Management Team on championing change, and keeping the GSC Cash Management team engaged in improvement projects and initiatives
  • Leading on GSC project related workstreams, including (but not limited to) ensuring requirements are agreed, proposed solutions are fit for purpose, GSC testing is robust, changes are formally imbedded into GSC teams
  • Attending all project calls/meetings and facilitating where appropriate actions in relation to Cash Management workstreams and processes
  • Where appropriate, managing and maintaining project controls, including delivery plans, testing documentation and RAID logs
  • Working with key finance, business, IT stakeholders and third party suppliers to define the scope and solutions of projects, leading on the resolution of issues as necessary
  • Ensuring relevant project stakeholders are engaged appropriately
  • Working directly with appointed technical leads and project / finance team members to provide support and direction as required, contributing towards the overall objectives of the project
  • Provide lessons learned and activity based actions to improve the department’s delivery capabilities
  • Managing changes in an effective and controlled manner in scope with the departments Change Control Framework
  • Providing trainings related to Cash Management Process for the team members as well as to the business

ABOUT YOU

Essential skills and experience:

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of a global law firms Cash Management activities and processes
  • Understand of local SAR’s and implications on processes
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be fluent in English.
  • Ability to engage teams and sell the benefits of planned change
  • Be a self-starter, who is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a virtual team.
  • Experience of working on large scale, multi-location change initiatives within a professional services environment. 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong and positive relationships with the international teams.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience of working on large projects within a global law firm. 
  • Experience of delivering automation/technology in ticketing, workflow or banking solutions. 
  • Understanding of transactional finance processes.
  • Experience with working and communicating with non finance departments/functions
