DLA Piper’s financial services regulatory practice, a part of the Corporate team, is looking for a Senior Associate. Clients will include some of Australia’s largest financial institutions and financial services businesses, as well as some of the most innovative Fintechs entering the market.
You will work closely with leading regulatory practitioners in a team lead by Samantha O’Brien who heads this practice and is the Head of our Insurance Sector in Australia. You will be part of one of the largest corporate practices in the world. DLA Piper is ranked #1 for global M&A by deal count for the past 13 years with dedicated lawyers working across key global jurisdictions.
You will also have access to our DLA Piper Career Academies, an award-winning international development forum designed to cultivate high performance and support your career goals.
The successful candidate will need to be a dynamic, and motivated person with at least 4 years PQE experience. You will be a highly effective communicator and a team player. It will be necessary that you are experienced in advising clients across all facets of the key financial services regimes (AFS, ACL AML and APRA regulation), and supporting the delivery of commercial and M&A mandates for finance services clients. Preferred candidates will have deep experience in the insurance/risk and payments sectors, ideally, with exposure to advice to Fintech and Insurtech clients.
The team is based in Brisbane, but the role can be performed in any of our east coast offices.
