Our success, your opportunity.
We don’t follow trends. We start them. We drive change and deliver more to make a tangible difference for our clients and communities.
We are recruiting a number of Paralegals to work within our Legal Delivery Centre.
The Legal Delivery Centre (LDC) uses streamlined processes, legal technical knowhow and cutting-edge technology to design and deliver routine or document-heavy legal services quickly and efficiently.
Staffed by over 85 permanent DLA Piper employees operating from locations in the UK (primarily Leeds), Australia and the Netherlands – the LDC primarily allocates activity to a team of Paralegals (headed by an Assignment Lead) with qualified lawyers used to support service delivery.
LDC Paralegals gain exposure to a broad range of premium quality legal work and have the opportunity to interact with colleagues on an international basis.
Salary and benefits are very competitive.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work as part of a high performing team assigned to either Contentious, Corporate Transactional or Real Estate activity. There is some movement between teams as Paralegals are cross-skilled where practical to ensure the LDC has the flexibility to adjust to variations in demand. New employees will be engaged on activity that has a narrow scope, but you can expect scope to increase as you develop.
You will work as part of the wider DLA Piper team and are likely to engage with stakeholders at all levels as you gain experience. Client exposure depends on work type and the specific engagement, although overall client exposure is good.
Training opportunities and work quality are of the highest order and working with like-minded team members in a dynamic environment should ensure you excel and develop at pace.
The Department / Practice Group
The LDC is very much forward thinking and at the front edge of the firms drive to use innovative delivery techniques and the latest software to provide clients with new solutions and servicing options. Extensive training is available and those who join will quickly develop both their legal and commercial abilities.
