A unique opportunity has come available for a Senior Solutions Engineer- Design and Delivery. This role is available to work out of any of our Australian offices- Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. Reporting to the Senior IT Operations Manager in Leeds UK, you will be responsible for the completion of the analysis, design and engineering work related to requests from within the overarching Project Delivery and Service Operations functions.

Coming with legal industry experience, you will bring a ‘can do’ approach to working across multiple projects and consulting with the wider design and engineer team.


  • Assist in the assessment and selection of suitable solutions to meet all or parts of specified requirements
  • Design infrastructure to meet the requirements that can be implemented in line with existing infrastructure
  • Produce designs and specifications covering full scope of objectives to consider
  • Understand best practices and apply them across technologies
  • Adapt solutions to the constraints of the existing infrastructure
  • Guide a project to completion and ensure that it is delivered to the design and meets the original intent of the project
  • Prove the feasibility of designs
  • Consult with the overarching Architecture function about design patterns
  • Ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure changes, planning, estimation, scheduling, implementation and, if appropriate, hand over to client of installations
  • Assess the impact of changes introduced by the solution and plan accordingly
  • Identify any deeper issues that need fixing either with implemented designs or existing infrastructure
  • Act as mentor and trusted advisor to other members of the team and to engineers in other teams such as Operations to develop any skills and knowledge required
  • Adoption of automation techniques for repetitive workload


You will have:

  • Excellent technical background with subject matter expertise in Network and Internet Security: Security Access Service Edge, Next Generation Firewalls, Internet Proxy, Cloud Security, Zero Trust, Secure Internet Access, Secure Private Access.

– Cloud technologies: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS. Microsoft Azure or AWS 
– Experience of configuring, maintaining and migrating services on to cloud platforms e.g. Amazon Web Service, Azure (preferred) or Google Cloud
– Microsoft 365, for example one or more of: Teams, SharePoint, Exchange online, Intune, OneDrive, Defender, Stream
– Networking and communications: Cisco, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi
– Azure AD and Identity Management

  • Experience in delivery of IT projects as a member of a dedicated project team / squad

– Documenting technical implementations as part of a Project Delivery process

– Thorough knowledge of testing procedures

– Knowledge of and experience in resolving configuration issues

  • Demonstrates a rational and organised approach to the tasks undertaken and an awareness of the need to achieve quality
  • Experience of working with the business/end users
  • Experience working within a corporate environment or professional services organisation
  • Can understand and identify with the firm and its culture, objectives and values
  • Experience within an Agile operating model
  • IT Competency frameworks such as ITIL, TOGAF, DevOps.
