The role

We are currently recruiting a junior consultant to join our highly qualified, dynamic tax team in Bucharest. You will be responsible for assisting the other tax consultants with diverse projects from all areas of tax. You will have the skills, knowledge and attributes to work flexibly within our fast moving and changing environment.

This is a role for a proactive, self-motivated, solution oriented and a professional individual who thrives on delivering results.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing professional assistance in the fiscal field, as well as on fiscal procedural issues
  • Providing assistance in the preparation of documentation for the exercise of appeals against tax assessments and other administrative acts in the fiscal field, with the direct supervision and coordination of senior colleagues
  • Drafting daily correspondence, tax advices requested by the company’s clients and assigned by superiors, prepares and produces various materials for conferences, meetings and other events (internal or external), according to assigned tasks, but also on own initiative, with prior consultation of senior colleagues
  • Occasionally preparing tax returns and registers with the direct supervision and coordination of senior colleagues
  • Providing assistance and representation in front of the tax authorities, including the provision of specialized assistance during the fiscal inspection related to direct and indirect taxation, with the direct supervision and coordination of senior colleagues
  • Monitoring the authorities’ websites daily and sending information and updates with legislation and relevant events to the members of the tax department
  • Contributing to the preparation of alerts with legislative news in the fiscal field that are sent both to colleagues and clients
  • Ensuring information flow between the firm and external clients as well as with other firm’s departments

ABOUT YOU

  • Native Romanian speaker, with proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Minimum two years of experience in tax advisory field
  • Highly computer literate (MS-Office and legislative programmes)
  • Communication and relationship skills both with colleagues and with clients
  • Ability to find solutions for the problems faced
  • Ability to make decisions and assume responsibility
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Attention to detail, reliability, flexibility
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop oneself are highly appreciated and fully supported (including via internal programs / academies)
