We are currently looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team in Perth. The role is responsible for the effective management of one or more projects within a change programme as allocated and approved by the business. The project manager leads definition and assures continued viability of projects that meet the changing needs of the business, against the metrics of time, quality and cost. This position will be broadly skilled in information and communications technology and come with a comprehensive knowledge of relevant systems development lifecycles. This position will possess excellent people skills, ability to bring people on the project journey and foster an excellent team environment across both the project team and wider stakeholders.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be joining a technology efficient team and the Project Manager will take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects (typically with direct business impact and firm deadlines). Identifying, assessing and managing risks to the success of the project. Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders. Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Ensures Quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure. Manages the change control procedure, and ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off. Provides effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
