The role

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently recruiting a bright lawyer to join our Competition team in Rome. You will be advising national and international clients regarding competition law (both at European and national level), EC law and consumer protection. 

You will be involved in activities regarding merger control, cartel investigations and abuses of dominant position, state aid and EU law. In particular, the team deals with clients in the telecommunication sector, with financial institutions, and with the main operators in the gaming and betting sectors.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing and advising on a wide range of issues related to antitrust law – among which merger regulation, cartel, abuse of dominant position, state aid, private enforcement – and consumer protection.
  • Drafting filings to the European and national competition Authorities, legal opinions on mergers, aggrements falling within the scope of art 101 TFUE, abuse of dominant position.
  • Assistance to Italian and International clients on investigations launched by the European and Italian competition Authorities, antitrust compliance and merger filings

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree in law with top academic results
  • Admission to the Italian bar
  • Excellent English and Italian
  • Previous experience in competition law both at European and national level
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills in Italian and English 
  • Service minded, organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Positive mentality with a “can do” attitude
  • Demonstrate a desire to achieve excellence
  • Open to changing environment which requires daily learning
