We advise international clients on cross border deals with the benefits of the Luxembourg broad range, business oriented legal and tax toolkit.  

Interns at DLA Piper are given real responsibilities, supporting our clients wherever they operate around the world. You will have the chance to learn through practical work and observation in a truly global firm, giving you an outstanding breadth of legal knowledge, as well as the practical skills that will stay with you for your entire career.

You will also be fully involved in our pro bono and knowledge activities. You will have the opportunity to interact with other DLA Piper offices and experience our “One Team, No Borders” way of working, to improve and test your technical legal skills internationally. 

We are offering 6-month Internships starting from July 2024.

This internship role is for a fixed term. It is not a Bar traineeship role.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Corporate team offers comprehensive legal services across the full spectrum of cross boarder and national transactions to multinational corporations, investment funds and domestic entrepreneurs. Our involvement in numerous complex transactions has allowed our lawyers to develop extensive experience in all key areas of corporate law.

The successful Intern would be assisting our team of experts on national and cross border corporate transactions, including M&A and PE deals, joint ventures, group reorganisations and general corporate/commercial work;   
Duties include:

  • Drafting a broad range of corporate documents and setting up of entities
  • Project management
  • Assisting companies, founders, board of directors, executives and committees on operational matters and strategic transactions and providing them with on-going personalised legal support
  • Research on legal matters; and 
  • Handling due diligence processes and closings

  • A strong academic record
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills in English and French
  • A good command of German or any other language would be advantageous
  • Commercially astute and keeps abreast of key legal and business news;
  • Personal commitment and learning attitude
