Why did you choose to work at DLA Piper?

I started my journey at DLA Piper with the summer internship, followed by the Ahead programme. Since then, I've gained experience in litigation and advising clients in the areas of employment law and immigration. 

I chose DLA Piper because I wanted to develop my interests and specialize in employment law. Working with many experienced colleagues at DLA Piper has supported my path to becoming a qualified lawyer. My daily work helps me gain experience for my future career and provides essential support during the preparatory stage in the bar association.

What have you learned from your experiences at DLA Piper?

Working at DLA Piper has expanded my knowledge and skills and has developed my confidence in business interactions with clients. I still feel that I'm continuously developing my skills by taking on additional responsibility for increasingly complex tasks. 

The level of assigned tasks is tailored to each individual's skills and development journey, ensuring that the tasks are challenging yet manageable. This has developed my knowledge and personal growth and has kept me motivated and engaged in my professional journey. 

How would you describe the culture at DLA Piper?

There is a friendly atmosphere and a team-oriented approach to handling client requests. Colleagues are not only willing to offer support by ensuring that the workload is manageable, but also readily consult on any questions or doubts that arise during tasks. As a junior lawyer, I appreciate this as I benefit from the experience of senior colleagues who are eager to discuss legal issues and provide explanations and advice in specific situations. This collaborative environment fosters both professional growth and a sense of community.
