
The Marketing and Business Development Executive - Events will support the Marketing and Business Development Manager - Events in executing firm-wide and internationally focused events, aligning with the UK Clients and Sectors go-to-market strategy.
As a key member of the Marketing & Business Development team, you will be responsible for managing numerous high-quality events, providing expert advice and guidance directly to our partners and lawyers, and ensuring the right contacts are targeted for each event.
This fast-paced position offers the opportunity to work on prestigious events with high-level speakers and contacts in business and public life. The role demands a skilled events executive with exceptional project management abilities, a proactive approach, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
The ideal candidate will excel in coordinating complex events, anticipating challenges, and collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve outstanding results.
Main duties and responsibilities

Execute and deliver the UK programme of events in London, as part of the firm’s business development strategy. Collaborate with the line manager to manage these events end-to-end, from planning and objective-setting, through to execution and post-event analysis/ROI reporting.

Create engaging event-related marketing materials that align with the firm's messaging, ensuring events are targeted with clear sales messages and effective follow-up.

Produce reports and statistics on key London event activity to measure the ROI and devise measurement processes to record this information.

Coach MBD colleagues in event management and delivery, ensuring all events are aligned with the firm’s overall values and objectives. This includes providing guidance on best practice, sharing insights and expertise, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Marketing and Business Development Manager- Events to ensure the successful achievement of the team’s business development objectives.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility in their approach, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work outside of normal office hours when required.
About you
The role holder must:

Have a strong understanding of marketing and business development practices, with experience in a corporate or professional services environment.

Demonstrate experience in managing high-quality events, ensuring that each is executed to the highest standard and meets all client and firm expectation.

Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, confident in operating independently, owning projects, and seeing them through with limited supervision.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional approach to internal client care and a proven ability to manage projects and collaborate with others.

Exhibit the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, manage a demanding workload, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain composure in demanding situations, demonstrating a positive attitude, proactive 'can-do' approach, and collaborative working style.

Be IT literate, proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with InterAction/CRM systems is a plus.

Align with the firm’s objectives and values, showing commitment and a high standard of work in completing delegated tasks.
