MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

We think creatively. For better results commercially.

In our Marketing & Business Development team, we work together with our lawyers to explore new opportunities and promote DLA Piper externally. From designing client programmes to building pitches, no two days are the same for this team.

Our experience

What we’ve achieved

The Marketing & Business Development team is at the heart of the DLA Piper business. From pitching for top-class legal work to helping win multiple awards every year; creating global campaigns to working on internal multi-media communications; managing events across our international locations to playing a part in our responsible business programmes, no two days are the same.

What we’ve achieved

It’s not just the work that’s varied, but where you work from can be too. We have an active programme of international secondments that has enabled colleagues from other offices to experience working in Hong Kong, Dubai, Brussels, London, Warsaw, Amsterdam, Cologne, Milan, Madrid and Lisbon. The list grows daily in line with our marketers’ ambitions.

What we’ve achieved

WIN is our award-winning programme for in-house lawyers, representing an evolving series of events, tools and forums which address the technical, commercial and personal aspects of working in-house. By listening to our clients and identifying the key legal and commercial issues they face on a day-to-day basis, we aim to tailor our services to meet their changing needs and priorities.

What we’ve achieved

Since its inception in 2010, WIN has been recognised with a series of Awards including FT Innovative Lawyers (2013), Legal Week Innovation (2017) and Managing Partners’ Forum (2018). Feedback from the in-house community drives the agenda and the programme continues to double in size year-on-year.
