How would you describe the culture at DLA Piper?
At DLA Piper, our culture is all about working together in a supportive, genuinely collaborative way. We aim for excellence not by competing, but by sharing ideas, lifting each other up, and combining our strengths. It’s a place where teamwork sparks innovation and continuous learning feel natural, because everyone’s contribution is valued and everyone is encouraged to grow.
What pro bono or sustainability-related activities have you been involved in?
One thing I really appreciate about the firm is the chance to get involved in pro bono work – which is exactly what I’m doing at the moment. The project I’m part of is not only pro bono, but also fully aligned with our modern values: sustainability, environmental responsibility and a genuine commitment to society. It aims to advance social inclusion and support meaningful progress. In fact, the initiative focuses on creating a new company that will help develop "smart villages" – communities built around greener technologies, smarter infrastructure and people‑centered solutions. It’s exciting to contribute to something that has a real positive impact, both for the environment and for the community it hopes to empower.
Do you have any advice for students aspiring to pursue a career in law?
For students just starting out and dreaming of a career in law, I’d say this: the path you’re on is truly a journey. Try to enjoy it, because you’ll realise you’ve stepped into the profession you hoped for much sooner than you expected. And in many ways, the real adventure begins only then – your professional development stretches far beyond the few years spent at university, and each step along the way shapes you more than you might imagine.
