What have you learned from your experiences at DLA Piper?

All the professional knowledge and practical experience that I apply today I gained during my time at DLA Piper. Accounting in practice is very different from theoretical knowledge, and it's this dynamic of accounting in practice that I enjoy. Law fascinates me because of its logic, systematic nature and its impact on everyday life. The ability to analyse different situations, find effective solutions and perceive the wider context provides me with valuable experience that I use professionally and personally. This knowledge and analytical perspective is invaluable to me.

What has surprised you most about DLA Piper?

DLA Piper pleasantly surprised me with its human and friendly approach. Initially, I had certain ideas about the formal environment of a law firm where professional distance prevails. But the opposite turned out to be true. Colleagues across the firm, whether lawyers, paralegals or law students, are professionally proficient, friendly and approachable. I appreciate the firm's open and supportive atmosphere. This shows that even in a prestigious legal environment, natural collegiality and mutual respect work.

Is there anything you would like to highlight about your experiences at DLA Piper?

I've been with DLA Piper for 16 years and I appreciate the opportunity to continuously develop, deepen my expertise and gain experience. I joined the company as a financial accountant and have now progressed to the role of senior financial accountant, bringing with it a greater level of responsibility and a wider range of work. My role now extends into the areas of accounting and finance, which present new challenges for me. I see this career shift as a great opportunity for professional growth. DLA Piper continues to provide me with the space to gain valuable experience and develop professionally.
