Our IT teams are constantly looking for new ways to give lawyers the edge through our technology infrastructure and applications. If you’re passionate about technology and want to work on delivering best-in-class services, join our ambitious IT team.
According to our document management provider, we handle more legal documents than any other law firm in the world. This is a huge task, with security and efficiency at the top of our priorities; all helping us to deliver the highest quality service to our clients.
We’re a truly international department with standard service and operational service levels. We’re helped to achieve these expectations by a combination of high-quality change and implementation controls, and a consistent selection of hardware and software.
Our IT training team is fully qualified in all LTC4 modules, which is learning that is task-based for the legal industry. Many of our colleagues across the world are certified in one or more modules, more than any other law firm.
To help achieve our aim of ensuring our people are competent and confident technology users, everyone joining the firm receives an IT induction for essential learning, as well as further IT learning sessions which include elearning modules. We also provide 24-hour support and an online self-help service which covers the majority of technology and common questions, written in simple article format.

“I’ve previously been working in a technical IT role at DLA Piper, but I recently moved up to a new role coordinating the IT department in Italy. This gives me more opportunities for professional growth. I’m facing new projects and challenges, and greater autonomy – all within a friendly working environment.
I really enjoy working with my colleagues around the world every day. I help improve our processes and help our colleagues do their work more easily and to higher standards.”

“I started my IT experience at the service desk, and worked my way up from there. Now I manage a team of seven IT administrators.
What I like most about my role is working with people and participating in lots of projects. Building strong relationships with the people you work with is important here, along with professionalism, empathy and customer focus. What attracted me and keeps me at the firm are the people, the people, and one more time, the people.”

“My role aims to be a translator between our technology support teams and our business. As part of that I enjoy being able to connect with people one-to-one. Sometimes the connection comes about because things need improvement. Other times it’s because I want to listen and share ideas about how things could be more effective for the future.
I continue to see value in my role and enjoy its challenges. Challenge on its own isn’t meaningful without having great people to experience the journey with, like I do here. Through this journey I’ve found personal and professional growth.”
