Our experience

International Graduate programme scoops four awards

Our International Graduate programme won four awards at the All About Law Awards in 2018.  The awards are based on feedback from trainees and interns. DLA Piper’s training contract was ranked the best from 50 firms that entered the awards.  We were also rated first for job satisfaction and skills development, as well as best onboarding and induction experience across all sectors.

Budapest hosts Lawyer for a Day

Our Budapest office hosted its fourth annual ‘Lawyer for a Day’ in late November 2018. Over 100 law students applied for 15 places on the programme which gives students real insight into working in a global law firm. Students were put through an assessment centre and Márk Almásy who won the Trusted Advisor prize, started as a trainee associate with us.

German training programme wins Azur 100 award

Our training programme for associates in Germany was ranked the best education and training programme for young lawyers in the 2018 awards run by publisher Juve-Verlag. We won in the category of Professional Training and Continuing Education, and specifically for our training programme for associates in Germany.

Talent Class

Twice a year we organise the Talent Class for law students. At our office in Amsterdam, and Dubai or Toronto, you and your team get five days to convince an international client and win the pitch. This gives a crash course in personal development and a very good picture of what it’s like to work at DLA Piper.
